Saturday, June 28, and Sunday, June 29, 2025, the Smoky Mountain Amateur Radio Club held our annual Field Day, which was held at Mt. Lebanon Baptist Church Field Of Dreams, 1614 Peppermint Road, Maryville, Tennessee, for the first time. The venue served SMARC well with many acres for setting up antennas and a tall hill to get antennas as high up as possible. The Smoky Mountain Amateur Radio Club has a long and rich tradition of Field Day operations in Blount County. The Public was invited welcome to come join us and learn about amateur radio. Field Day is a national public event, sponsored by the ARRL, to educate and demonstrate amateur radio in action, and to practice our emergency response capabilities to provide communications in adverse conditions, and is one of the highlights of our annual calendar.
